“Rise Up” is the fifth track from Imagine Dragons' third studio album, Evolve. The song is sandwiched between two genuine and soft-spoken songs, which intensifies the powerful, strained vocals in the chorus. In essence, the song talks about rising up to face all of your troubles, dealing with themes regarding empowerment, hope, and success. At the end of the Evolve Summer Tour in Berlin, the song was used as a tribute to the late Mac Miller who had passed two days prior.
