FLOOTING GROOVES is PEARCE VAN DER MERWE, born in Cape Town, South Africa. He has been surrounded by music all his life. After having tried various intruments at a young age including violin, piano and french horn he finally settled on the silver flute, heavily influenced by an encounter with Jethro Tull and the green and meaningful. Jamming with Sean Strydom(acoustic guitar, electric bass) and his step brother Eliot Short (violinist, vocalist) the acoustic trio INFUSIONS was born.
