About the song, everything was cool in the beginning, Mariah loved the way he made her feel. Mariah now realizes that he was lying to her to get his way with her. His ignorance was him knowing Mariah was in love and he got what he wanted. At a point in time he wanted her, but how he doesn’t, and the memory of him haunts Mariah.
