“Intervention” is the seventh track from Madonna’s ninth studio album American Life, released in 2003. It was written and produced by Madonna and Mirwais Ahmadzaï. The song is an intimate dedication to her second son, Rocco Ritchie. It’s the second time she openly dedicates a song to one of her children after writing about her eldest daughter Lourdes in the song “Little Star”.
