“Easy Ride” is the eleventh and final track from Madonna’s ninth studio album American Life, released in 2003. The song was written by Madonna and Monte Pittman, and produced by her and Mirwais Ahmadzaï. The track is the perfect closing for the project: after criticizing the world surrounding her and the American Dream, she finally comes full circle and gets what she wants from life: living a comfortable existence for her and her children, but she wants to fight for what she wants -- it doesn’t have to be an easy ride.
