Titled after her home city, “calgary” is a song by Tate McRae released on December 8, 2023 as the ninth track on her sophomore album, THINK LATER. Throughout the track, McRae doubts her future, and wonders if she will ever get her life to where she wants it. Over a soft repeated guitar melody, McRae gets vulnerable and starts to believe she won’t change, and will feel out of place forever, she even contemplates taking pills to help. At the end of the second verse, she has some sort of optimism that she might get her life figured out.
