Ajax Is Kampioen is a 1995 song by Dutch singer and entertainer Danny Lukassen. It is a steaming party tune that was heard all around Amsterdam during the glorious UEFA Champions League campaign of AFC Ajax football club. The melody for 'Ajax Is Kampioen' already existed: it is the melody of Malle Babbe, a song written by legendary Dutch singer/songwriter Boudewijn de Groot, with lyrics by Lennaert Nijgh and made famous by singer Rob de Nijs in 1973.
