the_Sweep is an Israeli project from 2001. Mai Lev, Assaf Dar and Ithamar Eshpar formed the group and released but one album called VoiceMail. They co-wrote and produced VoiceMail as a concept album, recounting the story of a girl losing and re-discovering herself in Amsterdam. The album is a series of songs, arranged in several styles of electronica, and was intended to introduce new audiances to electronic styles like chillout, ambient and club-trance. the_Sweep's VoiceMail album is still available, but the band is no longer active.
