The Ideals are an indie rock band from Ayrshire in Scotland. The Band consists of Chris Kearney, Tom Connolly and Brian Chambers, with a few guests along the way. They were best mates from there early school days before going on to form the band in 2006. Early 2009 seen the release of their double A-side debut single ‘Vanity Fare’ and ‘Thirteen Fourteen’. (available on itunes now) Aside from airplay on XFM, Manchester online radio and pretty much every unsigned podcast going, They have played venues such as Moho in Manchester, King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut in Glasgow, Liverpool Barfly The O2 Academy in Glasgow and Alan McGee's death disco in London. The last 4 or 5 months have been a quiet time but with a reshuffle they are going back into the studio and should begin work on there debut album in early 2010, with an expected release late in the year, so i wouldn't expect to see them until then User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
