Just when you’re starting to feel at ease, calmed by soothing vocals, you’re overrun by raging seas of reverb and distortion. With elements of artrock, shoegaze, noise and indie pop, the band constantly experiments with distorted sounds and textures. Like whale noises, transformed into catchy songs and rough soundscapes. Oh Whale drags you straight into the waves, only to let you wash ashore in the end, relatively unscathed.
