Mister Pringle are a 6-piece Ska Punk band from (for the most part) Berkshire, in the south west of England. The band was started in late summer 1998, and came to an end in 2003. The muscial influences for their first EP included ska punk bands such as Less Than Jake, The Mad Caddies and The Might Mighty Bosstones, among others. To the end of the bands days they confess they were more comparable to King Prawn, Capdown, VGS and 5Knuckle, preferring a more Skacore sound. Their first EP is entitled 'No Trouble 'Ere Guvnor' and was self released in 2000. They were signed to Greystone Records for the album 'Fund-A-Mentalist' (released May 20th) at the end of 2001, admitting to turning down other offers to stay near their local supporters. The band comprised of Luke (vocals), Joolz (bass), Dom (guitars), Jim (drums), Sam (saxophone), Olly (Trombone), Curtis (Trumpet) and Matt (Trumpet). Luke and Dom met at school and Joolz moved from Sweden into a house opposite Dom at the end of 1998. Dom and Jim knew each other from Newbury Operatic Society and the band was formed. In the early days Matt was a brass player in the band, on and off, for the first two or three years until he went to join the Navy. The band was joined in late 1999 by Sam, an accomplished musician who could play a variety of instruments. The band also recruited Olly who started playing the trombone.
