This 9-Piece band hails from Barnsley in South Yorkshire fusing together a modern twist on the ska genre; incorporating swing grooves and a punk ideology taking influence from a wide range of bands from ‘The Clash’ to ‘Glen Miller’ and all that lies in-between, a sound which they have affectionately termed, ‘swing-core ska/punk’. The band consists of Tim Rivers (Tenor Sax), Alex Smith (Drums & Percussion), Stephan Bainbridge (Trombone), Dave Moulin (Vocals & Guitar), Graeme Kershaw (Guitar), Jamie Smith (Vocals & Bass), Dave Pantinuchi (Trumpet), Richard Dean (Keyboards), Andrew Summers (Trumpet) and Chloe Gray (Baritone/Alto Sax). Over the past 4 years since their formation, the band has built up a reputation for being one of the hardest working acts on the UK ska scene, entrancing the audience with their frantic stage show and sassy live swagger. Notching up over a 100 gigs a year, the band has built up a strong and loyal fan base from across the UK and Europe. Catch-it Kebabs have 2 albums already available: ‘Skankin’ Sausages (Do the Dog/Feet First, 2004) and ‘Return of the Kebabulance’ (Riot/Feet First, 2006). Although both albums received rave reviews, it was the maturity of ROTK which turned heads in the media.
