Artist
Martyr Complex is the primary band for founding member Aaron Egnor (keyboards/programming/vocals). Martyr Complex (MC, from here on) was founded in Tampa, FL, in 1997 and had their first live performance in October 1997. MC was a staple of the Florida industrial scene until summer of 2000 when they relocated to Cleveland, OH. Prior to that move, MC featured Chris Layman on vocals and guitar, Bob Melendez on guitar, and Aaron Egnor on synths and programming. MC was a headlining act at Goth Con 2000, and has performed with Hate Dept, Terrorfakt, the Cruxshadows, Jay Aston (Gene Loves Jezebel), etherclinic, Gossamer, Econoline Crush, Spahn Ranch, and many others. MC relocated to Seattle, WA, in July 2004. Joe Tarrant took over primary vocal and guitar duties, but subsequently left the band in April 2006. The current MC lineup features Aaron Egnor on synths/programming/vocals, Mark Stevens on electronic percussion, and Johnnie Zane on guitars/vocals. After an 18 month hiatus, MC began working on new material in September 2007. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
