The Great Lakes Crew formed in 2001 in Toledo, Ohio, and features the rap stylings of Ron Jero, Mo Price, That Dude Fani, Steve G and Framez Critically acclaimed, their music is as of yet little known on the national scale. Their 2006 album, "Sing Along with the Great Lakes Crew" was well received and dubbed the best Hip Hop release of 2006 by the Toledo City Paper. On August 14, 2009, they released thier long-awaited follow-up, a mixtape titled "The Land of the Lakes." . Possibly the first true Hip-Hop group from Toledo, OH. Very underground.
