Gilberto Cappelli (Predappio, 1952) Gilberto Cappelli is a graduate in piano, conducting, choral music and composition at the Conservatory of Bologna, studying with Giacomo Manzoni, Aldo Clementi and Tito Gotti. Important for its formation have also been in touch with Salvatore Sciarrino and Luigi Nono. Among his compositions are distinguished Two Pieces for Violin, for Two Voices for flute and violin, piano A String, To Jordan for string quintet, quartet, Ultramarine Blue and several guitar works, including memory (premiered the Music Biennale in 1991) and I am looking for a country Innocent in a single act, for actress and guitar (staged in Bologna in 2005). In 1993, the Music Biennale in Venice has devoted a monographic concert. With Sounds won the Premio Abbiati 2002. At Fenice in Venice in 2007 he was executed Fragment Rosso, a song dedicated to Giacomo Manzoni. Hats teaches composition at the Conservatory of Cesena.
