The FontanaMIXensemble comes from sharing, from the musicians who are part of a project in which performers and composers work closely together in the production of musical works, including multimedia character. The study and interpretation of works of the late twentieth century (by Sciarrino in Scelsi, Berio, Donatoni, Grisey, Bussotti, Cage, Crumb, Ligeti, Kurtag), along with proposals for new works often specially commissioned, representing the musical space in which acts the FontanaMIX Ensemble. As well as by Francesco La Licata, FontanaMIX was directed by Yoichi Suiyama and Giorgio Magnanensi, has worked with several soloists, including pianist Mauro Castellano, cellists Frances-Marie Uitti and Francesco Dillon, flutist Antonio Politano, violinists Paul Chiavacci and Haesung Choe, bassist Stefano Scodanibbio and with different composers: Fausto Romitelli, Jonathan Harvey, Klaus Huber, Bussotti, Toshio Hosokawa, Gilberto Cappelli, Francesco Carluccio, Giorgio Magnanensi, Paul Aralla, Atli Ingolfsson, Paul Perezzani, Giulio Castagnoli. The ensemble has performed in Bologna, Bologna Festival, the Teatro Comunale with a program dedicated to Francesco Pennisi, Concerts for the Attic, for the exhibition "Sights and Sounds" with a concert in San Petronio, for the Museum of Music with an evening dedicated to Luciano Berio, and has initiated, in collaboration with the Angelica Festival, a project for the proposed concerts dedicated to new music from other countries (in 2004 dedic
