A live duo project between Constantine Dinos Michaelides and Geoffrey Copplestone. Output veered between audio visual art installation work, and minimal improvisational electro-acoustic performances. Using vintage toys, toy instruments and other oddities as non-amplified objects, the music was at times very quiet, dealing with silence, feedback, hiss creeks and crackle, but looped melody would sometimes briefly emerge from the noise. fortytwo:: as a live duo played very infrequently between 2001-2004 as part of the then emerging scene described as "The New London Silence" of electronic and electo-acoustic improvisers such as Mark Wastell, Rhodri Davies, Matt Davis, and many others. The live gigs usually started extremely quiet, suddenly increasing in texture and volume half way into the set. Performances included gigs at Sound323, and The Bohman Brothers (Adam Bohman and Jonathan Bohman) monthly event of improv and beyond, at The Bonnington Centre in London Vauxhall Grove. Preceding one of these shows, they were invited to perform a live improvisational piece called "Batteries Included" for The Johnathan Bohman show - In Variety, on Resonance104.4FM in December 2003. The following night, after a performance at The Bonnington Centre, a Ltd Edition Christmas 3" CD was available for the audience to take home. The duo's last performance was as part of the "John Cage Uncaged" - weekend of musical mayhem @ The Barbican on January 2004. They played as part of John Cage's Mus
