Elusin is a Norwegian-American singer-songwriter and cellist. While she is half-Norwegian, she has stated that she's lived in Virginia (in the USA) longer than anywhere else. Growing up in the south-east USA, she became fond of southern music and classic rock, and with her time spent in Norway, she also became adapted to the Norwegian black metal scene, displaying a liking to bands like Emperor and Mayhem. Her father was a guitarist, which influenced her to begin creating music. In 2019, she released her debut single, Friends which received much praise for her ethereal vocals and bleak instrumentals and lyrics. For the next three years, she continued releasing singles, the most popular of which being Silhouette, before announcing her debut album Synfuels in 2022. Following its release, Synfuels garnered much attention and praise for its distinct sound, combining witch house and dream pop. Her dark and melancholic style has some similarity with the Japanese artist Antihoney Elusin has also collaborated with multiple artists, most notably contributing vocals to Sematary's song 9 Scarecrows, and cello on Malibu's EP Palaces of Pity.
