Zane Steckler (born December 22, 2000), known professionally as Sematary, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He began releasing music in 2019 and founded the Haunted Mound rap collective. Sematary has released nine mixtapes and three EPs. His production style incorporates elements of witch house and black metal, and his aesthetic has attracted an online following. Zane Steckler was born in Granite Bay, Northern California. His mother is a painter, and his father is a record producer who has worked on various film scores, including contributing a song to the soundtrack of the 1999 film "PokΓ©mon: The First Movie." He has one younger brother. Steckler began experimenting with music at the age of 11 using GarageBand and Logic Pro. Steckler began releasing music as Sematary in 2019 after graduating from high school. His collaborative debut mixtape, "Grave House," was released in August 2019 with fellow rapper Ghost Mountain. He released his solo debut mixtape, "Rainbow Bridge," in November 2019. In the same year, Sematary and Ghost Mountain formed the underground hip-hop collective and record label Haunted Mound, later joined by members including Hackle, Grimoire, Oscar18, Buckshot, and Anvil. In 2020, he released the mixtapes "Rainbow Bridge 2" and "Hundred Acre Wrist," the latter in collaboration with Ghost Mountain. "Rainbow Bridge 3," released in April 2021, concluded the Rainbow Bridge trilogy and was listed among the best hip hop albums of the year by
