a cup of tea are two friends who have an equal love for tight beats, squelchy dancefloor synths and lovely acoustic melodies. they make a collage of sound - organic samples are their crepe paper, synthesis is their glue and digital sequencing is the magnet that sticks the finished piece to your aural fridge. they've played at key liverpool venues and at festivals including woolfire, above the beaten track and liverpool music week and have been commissioned to conceive soundpieces for the gustav klimpt exhibition at liverpool tate and the daniel johnston exhibition at red wire gallery. a cup of tea live really is a live show, far from the pressing 'play' and head-bobbing common in 'live' electronic music - expect improvisation, expect keys, knobs and buttons, and expect live visuals. a cup of tea is stu and gaz.
