Zeta Aspect started writing music in December of 2005 using Finale NotePad. Zeta's style was originally classical/orchestral, with slightly electronic tendencies. Influenced and inspired by dance simulation gaming, Zeta eventually transitioned to ACID Pro 6.0 in July of 2006, using it, its VSTi compatibility, and its sample-based interface with the intent of improving drumwork and synthesizer quality. In December of 2006, Zeta obtained a Korg TR-61 keyboard sampler. Zeta's synths are usually (and fittingly) generated by z3ta+; drums are from random samples. Although Zeta Aspect does not specialize in any particular subgenre of electronica, Zeta favors the production of hardcore techno, trance, drum 'n' bass, and breakbeat. Zeta hopes to one day venture into IDM and drill 'n' bass, but does not expect to have a long enough attention span to permit completion of an entire song in such demanding genres. Regardless of genre, Zeta Aspect likes to incorporate fast melodies and complex drum patterns. Zeta Aspect prefers to progress quickly through a song before stagnation can possibly occur. An avid hater of repetition, Zeta Aspect usually avoids loops, preferring to program all melodies and drumwork one note or sample at a time. As a result of these preferences, Zeta's songs tend not to exceed the three-minute mark. As could be expected from Zeta's electronic music roots, the targeted song length is based on dance simulation gaming: around 1:30-2:10. As of March, 2009,
