Yasya is the nickname of Ivanna Prots, a girl from an artist family, living her life in the magical spirit of dance and performing. Just like the new generation favourites KT Tunstall or Katie Melua, Yasya is a composer and performer of her own songs, that are strongly influenced by her personality. In addition, the fact that her musical roots are in Eastern Europe, what makes the sound simply exotic and unique. After years of searching, she’s here and ready to amaze the audience. „It became so evident, that the bands looking for singers, are ready-made constructions, seeking for their missing gears. I’ve decided to build my own construction, expressing myself with the people, who care about me and my music.” ..and what Yasya’s world does look like? Now the Down the Hill EP's out, you can experience, that her music is an exclusive mixture of the silent sensuality of Nouvelle Vague and the rousing voice of PJ Harvey combined with the most famous Ukrainian rock band, Okean Elzy (Elza’s Ocean).
