YARA BEILINSON: Singer - Composer - Instrumentalist Official Website: http://www.yarabeilinson.com/ Yara Beilinson was born on April 1976 in Río de Janeiro (Brazil). A short time after she moved with her family to Buenos Aires where she grew up. At the age of four Yara started to study the different artistic disciplines music, dance and sculpture but then decided to dedicate her life completely to developing her first instrument “the voice”. At the age of ten she made her début on an album with Los Abuelos de la Nada (Andrés Calamaro) one of the most important groups in the history of Argentinean Rock music. Yara then went on to perform at the Opera Theatre of Buenos Aires. Later on at the age of fifteen Yara began to start work as a solo singer working with the legendary group Manal (Javier Martínez). Yara then moved on to further her career and develop her musical style by immersing herself in Latin-American folk, African and contemporary ethnic music, jazz and in particular popular Brazilian music. Yara has toured Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Spain and France together with many internationally renowned musicians and groups such as: Afrocuba (Silvio Rodríguez), Rubén “Mono” Izarrualde (Paquito D’ Rivera, Lito Vitale, Jairo), Chango Farías Gómez (M.P.A, La Manija, percussionist on the record La Fusa de Vinicius de Moraes y Toquinho), Marcelo García (León Gieco), Muiguel Tallo (Pedro Aznar, Mercedes Sosa), Oscarito Valdéz (Silvio Rodríguez), Luís de La Ho
