Now 17 years old, Arielle has always been passionate about singing. She sang her first jazz tune, Orange Colored Sky, in grade two! Singing & scatting jazz standards continues to bring her a fabulous sense of joy. Watching her perform fiery latin jazz tunes in Spanish is a treat not to be missed. You may find yourself swept up in the moment as she has been known to salsa dance with members of the audience! Her debut cd, Radiance, recorded when she was just 15, includes a wonderful selection of jazz standards, with a couple of latin jazz surprises. Through her involvement with the Nova Scotia Honour Jazz Program, Arielle has also discovered a love of funk music. She has had the pleasure of performing at a myriad of exciting events and venues, including several Atlantic Jazz Festivals, the NS Youth Orchestra's latin dances, various corporate events and fundraisers, and at her favourite local music spots such as Stayners, Nîche, The Trellis, and Roadside Willies. With the Los Primos Project, led by award-winning music educator and saxophonist, Jeff Goodspeed, Arielle performed in Havana and Cienfuegos, Cuba. Arielle is as passionate about acting as she is about singing! She has acted in two musical theatre productions at Halifax's Neptune Theatre, and played Scout in their production of To Kill A Mockingbird. She has been a part of many community theatre productions; her most recent role cast her as a goth, teenage Wiccan! Studying at Shakespeare School in Stratford
