Carlos Yandré Martin Marrero, known as “Yan Block,” is a Puerto Rican urban music artist. He was born on April 22, 2004, in the town of Bayamón. From birth, he was always surrounded by the arts and urban music scene, as his parents have always worked in that field. His father, who in addition to being an artist himself, is one of the most recognized music video directors in the Puerto Rican Latin urban music scene, having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. He got his start at Freestyle Mania at the age of 14, hosted by Dionel de los Magos and El Mapa, excelling in competitions and rap battles, which led to the creation of his own label, “Block Records LLC.” He won a competition to be featured on the song “X1000” in collaboration with Randy, Pusho, Pacho El Antifeka, Yomo, and Baby Johny. He also has a song in collaboration with Freestyle Mania, called “Mueve,” which garnered his first million views on YouTube alongside Saelo, Jamby El Favo, and Dvniel. This song achieved impressive success in nightclubs. At the young age of 15, he has realized his dream of exporting his lyrics and talent beyond the studio.
