David Gerardo Rivera Juarbe, known artistically as Dei V, was born on December 26, 1996, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. His foray into the music industry began in 2020 under the Moneywayy record label, then run by artists Yeruza and Yovngchimi. In 2021, he released his first extended play, "Ying Yang," though he later removed the songs from Spotify, making them available exclusively on YouTube. The EP included 11 singles and music videos, most notably "Quieren ser yo," released in 2022, which achieved some viral success. However, his true international recognition came in 2023 with the single "¿Quién es Dei V?" (Who is Dei V?), accompanied by a music video that garnered over 25 million views on YouTube in a year. This success earned him a nomination for the Tu Música Urbano Award for Best Trap Artist. During that year, he also released notable collaborations such as “Trending Remix” with Myke Towers and “Pacto (Remix)” with Jay Wheeler, Anuel AA, Bryant Myers, and Hades66. In 2024, Dei V released his second extended play, “Los Marcianos Vol. 1: Dei V Version,” in collaboration with producers Chris Jedi and Gaby Music. The EP consists of four singles and a collaboration with Kendo Kaponi on the track “Me Va Kabrxxn.” The EP's promotional single was “Bad Boy,” featuring Anuel AA and Ozuna.
