Formed in 1999 as an acoustic guitar unit, Ya-foo! is Yasu/やす (酒井康宏/Yasuhiro Sakai; Vocals & Guitar) and Pama/ぱま (Fumiyasu Takahashi; Vocals & Guitar) in 1999. While performing live mainly in Tokyo and releasing a lot of independent sound sources, in 2005, the full album "Yumechigai" was released nationwide from Starman Records. In addition to being a member of Ya-foo!, YA-SU joined アネモネ (Anemone) in 2003 with バニラ（Banira）＆ 静穆。 Ya-foo also released a collab mini-album with Japanese Drag-queen Onan Spelmermaid (オナン・スペルマーメイド) . In February 2008, they released a mini album "Ame, Momoiro". & paused band activities around 2009. Yasu would be active with Anemone until as late as 2013.
