Artist
Woozy sun-drenched pop, wrapped in a wall of stabbing fuzzy guitars echoing the sounds of Ride, DIIV, Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo. Debut album 'Wylderness' was championed by Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), Huw Stephens (BBCR1), and featured on BBCR1’s best of Introducing playlist, and garnered critical acclaim from Clash, DIY and Drowned in Sound. The Cardiff band’s second album, Big Plans for a Blue World, has been recorded with an expanded line up and features added layers of vintage synths and clarinet. Recorded in rural Wales (Giant Wafer Studios, Llanbadarn Fynydd) and London (Press Play, Bermondsey), the album was produced by Rory Attwell and is scheduled for release in 2022. Wylderness are Marz (guitars/vox), Chet (bass/guitars), Phil (drums/percussion), Don (guitars/vox), Hirwaun (clarinet/percussion) and Oli (keys/guitars).
