Artist
Valium Doll exists just because she wants to play simple, straight-to-the-heart music. She approached to music very early and after years of formative listen and would-be songs which would never come into being, in 2005 Valium Doll starts her experience with the Blank Symbol, a rock band she still belongs to. Her maturity increases her need to communicate in many ways: she started under the pseudonym Joey Division (a character inspired by Duchamp), she meant to spread “her news” without revealing her identity. At the beginning of 2008, something new occurred and she could not play the trick any longer. She got in the recording studio and produced her first There Was Something in my Drink EP, released in July, 2008, featuring Lorenzo Petri, who played guitar also in The Last Days of Disco (I).
