UZS's music is a synthesis of post-punk, cold and new wave aesthetics. The trio's compositions are built on sounds that are both sharp and cool at the same time; the raw structures of rhythm driven by nervous bass and a tyrannical electro drum overlap with guitar cuts, minimalist old school keyboards and two chanting voices, evoking the 80s song tradition. - With references to both Neue Deutsche Welle, the British offspring of punk rock, and Polish artists from the Stilon Gorzów label - especially with Polish lyrics that are as critical and reflective as they are humorous, in sparing and understated images that comment on social reality.
