Ttukunak are the twin sisters Sara and Maika. These innovative Txalaparta(*) players started at the age of twelve and have acted all along the world including The Royal Festival Hall in London and several tours in Brasil, Europa or Asia. They collaborated with artists like Ojos de Brujo, Radio Tarifa, Arto Tunçboyaciyan, Tomás San Miguel and Mártires del Compás, among others. (*)Txalaparta is a traditional Basque percussion instrument, played by two artists simultaneously in a usually improvised session.
