The need to explore the diverse forms, textures and structures within a musical language where the principles of the electroacustics are applied, was the main reason why this project came to life on december, 2002. Tripnotik is a project -done by members of the multidiscipinary artistic collective Pánico de Masas (Panic of Masses)- which develops within the grounds of “down-tempo”, working close to electronic rythms like “trip-hop”. Inside the band alignment, instruments like synths, bass and electric guitar are used, besides sequencers, samplers and loops, instead of the drums. The sound of the band is characteristic for its frecuent use of dark and deep textures, as well as bizarre atmospheres that takes us to post- industrial landscapes.
