Triple Word Score was formed in 2000 in Vancouver, Canada by Bassist / Vocalist Jamaal Francis, Guitarist / Vocalist Brent King & Drummer Chris Landry. After their debut 5 song e.p. gained popularity on local University radio. TWS started playing for bigger crowds by opening for more etablished acts like Fat Wreck Chords band The Real McKenzies. Soon TWS caught the attention of the legendary punk label Long Beach Records / Skunk.com made popular by early releases by Sublime, LB Dub Allstars and Secret Hate. On Nov 2, 2001 the album "The First in a Long Line of Disasters was released followed by extensive tours across the U.S. and Canada with bands like The Dickies, The Casualties, Long Beach Dub Allstars & TSOL to name a few. In 2003 Drummer Dave Affleck replaced Chris and TWS recorded a handfull of songs for compilations and began writing for their sophmore release. Sadly, the band parted ways before the album could be recorded. The members of TWS are now living in seperate parts of Canada and are playing in new bands. In 2005 Brent King and Chris Landry formed The Valjerks and recorded a 4 song e.p. called Luki & The Goose.
