Once upon a day, while jamming some metal and drinking beers in a less than adequate rehearsal studio, the Freibergs and Eric learned of Byron the Lie's previous years of saxophone playing. Who knew he could doing anything but pinch harmonics? So we came up with a fun idea... "Lets start a ska band!" We all had some nifty ska influences, and it seemed like a good idea at the time, so we went for it. And thus Top Hat Ted was born! Carlos, the tamborinist/vocalist/tromboner enthusiast and high-school chum of Eric, was gathered a month or so later. After, of course, we found out how talented he is and how pretty his vocals are. Flash forward a few more months later and we're starting to think to ourselves: "You know what we could use? Another horn player!" As if the Gods themselves were listening, we are bestowed a trumpet player! The gorgeous and gifted Thomas Henderson joins our ranks and thus far completes the ensemble that is Top Hat Ted!
