Dutch pianist and keyboardist, Ton Snijders (born 18 July 18 1960 in Lisse, The Netherlands), started studying piano at the Hilversum Conservatory in 1984. Having played in several church bands, he started his musical career in earnest by joining the group Coopertest, with which he made his first recordings of his own compositions. In 1991 he met the famous Dutch singer-songwriter Frank Boeijen. Snijders joined Frank Boeijens band in 1991. A fruitful cooperation ensued. Snijders played on many of Boeijen's albums and performed live with him for more than a decade on tours throughout The Netherlands and Belgium. Since then Snijders has toured with Dutch vocalists and comedians such as Liesbeth List, Liesbeth List & Ramses Shaffy, Sanne Wallis de Vries, Stef Bos, Youp van 't Hek and Mathilde Santing. After producing soundtracks for tv programs, he decided to pursue his dream: a recording career under his own name. In 2004 he started the recordings for his first solo album (and DVD) called Zwaluw 22. His album Thuis was released in March 2010. After years of silence, 2020 and 2021 saw the release of two 'peaceful piano' albums, entitled Solo (1*) and Solo (2*), respectively.
