Many pianists in the 'peaceful piano' genre may be 'fake', but James Homard is 'real'. James Homard is the peaceful piano moniker of Dutch pianist, label boss and music industry veteran, Jim Kreeftenberg. He worked at Spotify Netherlands and is now an independent music industry coach for artists, but he also loves playing the piano, an instrument he has been learning to play since age seven. For fun, Kreeftenberg created peaceful piano cover versions of Dutch pop hits, at home. Friends and co-workers encouraged him to release his versions. Kreeftenberg adopted his James Homard alias and released his piano version of 'De Diepte' by S10 in May 2022. He has since put out a few more cover interpretations, followed by a steady stream of original compositions. Jim Kreeftenberg also runs his own peaceful piano label, Aragosta Music, home to frequently playlisted (yet 'real') pianists such as Jeroen Granneman and Martin La Pelle.
