Tommy Tapehead is a lo-fi acoustic covers project, which spawned from Omaha, Neb. anti-folk duo Thee Tapeheads, originally led by songwriters DL Diedrich (Emcee DL, Spiders for Love) and Matt Hutton (My Pal Dragon, Thunder Power). The name was taken from the group's cartoon mascot "Tommy the tapehead," and later adopted by Diedrich as a solo moniker.
