1. Tin Pan Alley (ティン･パン･アレー) was a Japanese city pop group in the 70's.Members were Hosono Haruomi(b),Shigeru Suzuki(g),Tatsuo Hayashi(ds) and Masataka Matsutoya(key). 2. Tin Pan Alley (錫盤街) is a Taiwanese post rock quartet formed in 2000. 3. Tin Pan Alley is a Swedish pop band with the members Jörgen Andersson, Sofia Thulin, Linnéa Kuster and Jens Johansson. Jörgen and Jens have both played in various local rock and pop bands, but never together even though they've known eachother for a long time. Late in 1995 they decided to do something together. They began writing a couple of songs, and when they came across the voices of Linnéa and Sofia they knew they were on to something. The band formed in January, 1996. Their music is very hard to describe. People have compared it to acts like Portishead, Enya, Björk, Saint Etienne, Daybehavior and even Depeche Mode. All this put together makes for a very unique sound that ranges from spooky Twin Peaks atmospheres, harsh drum loops and twisted electronics to (more or less) danceable pop. The band released their first single, "Star", in November 1999 on the Bonnier Music label. The song was produced by Tin Pan Alley and Eric S at Sidelake Studios in Sundsvall, Sweden. After two more singles, "My Love Has Got A Gun" and "Not Exactly", the album "Via Copenhagen" was finally released in April of 2001.
