Timo de Jong is a Dutch musician from the town of Meppel, The Netherlands, who writes new songs in old genres such as old time rhythm & blues, bluegrass, cajun and gospel. With his deep, crooning voice he revisits the sounds of the American Mid-West in the 1930s. His debut album, Just One Whisper, came out in 2018. Three more albums under his own name followed. Album number five, The Ballad of Too Much Glitter (2025), was recorded with the band Leadbeaters and is formally credited to Timo de Jong & Leadbeaters (but may be scrobbled as a Timo de Jong album).
