Tibi Lubin was a band Formed in the musical hideouts of Glasgow's i nthe early 2000s, that played an idiosyncratic indiepop mixed with minimalistic post-punk. Debut album 'I Don't See You as a Dead Girl' (Rev-Ola, 2004) was praised for its ingenuous beauty, garnering comparisons to the sweetie-pie minimalism of Young Marble Giants and The Marine Girls, and the perverse girl group dynamics of Slumber Party. A more sophisticated, resonant sound characterizes 'Frankie Quinn', a 3-song single forthcoming on Hamburg’s Aufgeladen & Bereit, in which singer-guitarist and founding member Katie Stewart is joined by Rowan Smith on drums and Anji-Jane Kelly on bass.
