Plouf! formed in Leeds in 1997 and initially featured Elodie, Neil (from Bouquet) and Shaun (also from Bouquet and later in the Real Losers). Their first gig was playing with Sheffield band Velodrome 2000 and Elodie asked their bass player tonieee (later in Hello, How Are You?, The Parallelograms and All Ashore!) to join, teaching her the songs during the soundcheck. They soon completed their line up with Tommo and James Green (Big Eyes). Over the years their lineup changed several times and the following people were also Plouf!s: Andy, Jeff, Chris (Velodrome 2000 and The Millipedes) and Emlyn (Bilge Pump).
