This Damn Universe - the Long Island based "alternative electro pop" brainchild of Andrew Iovino and Justin Blaser - was born October of 2010. Stylistically explosive and sonically complex, This Damn Universe weaves a tapestry of stuttering bassy beats, old-skool synths, classical music and layer upon layer of vocal effects and harmonies; a two-man electro gargantuan of sorts. Though forward thinking however, their sound is easily graspable in the here and now. Justin and Andrew remain staunchly D.I.Y., with all writing duties, recording duties and production duties to date being performed in house by the duo themselves. Currently honing their live set and building their repertoire of original material, This Damn Universe has anchored their otherworldly mothership on terra firma and though they come in peace, have no intentions of leaving anytime soon.
