Hailing from the Chicago suburbs, comes a band that pummels it's listeners into submission with heavy guitars, pounding drums, and brutal breakdowns. This Final Day is a band of six talented individuals, who's skill and love of music has united to create a brutal assault on the ears. The band strives to write songs that uplift and encourage people, and that show the love of Christ to everyone. The band formed in late 2008, and has spent many months refining and improving their sound. This Final Day was born when guitarist/bassist Kevin Rose and drummer Pablo Sands decided to start writing songs. Kevin's brother and guitarist Jack soon joined the band. In the summer of 2009, following a decision to write heavier songs, the band picked up screamer Dan Smith. The band began to explore new ways to write. Throughout early 2010, the band played a few shows, and began to grow their fan base. In fall of 2010, three of the members left for college in Greenville, Illinois. One remained in West Chicago to finish his senior year in high school. Once at Greenville the band picked up Bassist Caleb Loeppky and Guitarist Phil Ortiz. Now with a solid lineup, This Final Day is more ready than ever to write songs and play shows. TFD will be heading into the studio in the near future to record an EP with Engineer/Producer Rob Shollenberger (ROMPSTOMP RECORDINGS, The Modern Savages, formerly of TO EVERY CYNIC) Expect to hear more of TFD's music soon to come.
