This Calamity is the alias of Martyn Crocker, a Plymouth (UK) musician born 18th January 1984. Noted elements of the This Calamity sound are driving, intense acoustic guitars, beautiful piano flourishes and strong, emotive, vocal melodies. On November 7th 2011, the debut Extended Play was made available for free download for everyone to enjoy. You can download the 'Animals' EP for yourself at www.thiscalamity.co.uk On the 27th of January 2012, the debut This Calamity music video was released, for the song "Moving Away". The song is taken from the forthcoming second E.P. 'I'll Paint You A Picture If You Promise To Put It Up", which is due for release in 2012.
