Then I Said Why formed in late 2002 from the ashes of Minus Mind. With a new line-up and a taste for the faster, heavier hardcore sound; they began playing on a regular basis in their hometown of Mt Maunganui. They are always recording and have a couple of tracks available for download on their webpage. Name dropping artists like Poison the Well, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Will Haven and Converge as influences, Then I Said Why always focus on playing an energetic live show that watchers can enjoy.
