The Year Zero is a post-pop band formed in 2005 in the very vigurous underground pop scene of Long Beach, California (USA). As of today as well as in the beginning, the 2 main members are Rodney Sellars (Sense Field, Reason To Believe) and Lili de la Mora (RF & Lili de la Mora, Sidecar). 3 other members have joined the band in 2008 and are now permanent members, replacing from now on the Tascam 424 that was used in the past. The band is, as they say, musically influenced a lot by Brian Eno and My Bloody Valentine, and visually inspired by futuristic movies such as Blade Runner and Brazil. Imagine the music to the end of the world, this is what describes best The Year Zero. They released their first full length album entitled "Oceania, I Will Return" in 2006, and this, just after releasing the « Three Song EP », both on Californian indie pop label Skipping Stone Records, as well home of swedish pop acts The Charade and Celestial. The Year Zero are now working on a brand new record that should be out for 2009 but not much else has been revealed yet.
