The Windless Hills is a project that initially started as a solo production practice. The first album, In the Safety of Our Homes, was made within the span of 2 days and released on May 3, 2024. Shortly after it expanded with the album The Last Door, which has 2 versions. One of which was scrubbed from the internet as a whole and one was a remake that was released on Feb 18, 2025 but it is still considered the second album. Power Lines was the first attempt at a band project, with 3 people on board. Aside from Emerald, the lineup consisted of Florian and AsterVrisk. Seams of the Sky was an ambitious release, with the previous 3 as well as Luna Rainn onboard. The style changes often, sometimes being trip hop and dreampop, sometimes being noise rock, death industrial, power electronics, and many others. The Windless Hills did the soundtrack for the film "What I Remember" directed by Alex Hera. It screened at UFF8 on March 28, 2025.
