1. The THIRTEEN is the new musical unit by Sadie members Mao and Mizuki formed in 2016. Prior to the unveiling of the members of The THIRTEEN, various Visual Kei artists like members of the GazettE and other well-known formations, had been retweeting the duo’s new unit teaser and countdown, lending Mao and Mizuki a hand in building up the suspense of their new endeavor. The pair is set to release their first full album PANDEMIC on May 25, and perform their first live at Tokyo’s Akasaka BLITZ on June 24. Sadie has been on hiatus since September 2015, reportedly using the break as “an opportunity to reconsider their music and their lives.” The THIRTEEN is not the first time Mao and Mizuki have teamed up to create new music. The duo previously formed a unit under the name of The MUMMY in October 2015. The MUMMY had a short band life-span that consisted of only a few live performances and no formal music releases. 2.
