THE DESPERADO is a metalcore band originating from Kyoto and Osaka, Japan. They are a part of the loud kei subgenre within visual kei, with sound influenced by both metalcore and deathcore. The current lineup consists of Nero as the vocalist, Seiya on guitar and Akuru on bass. The band was established on December 1, 2019, with Nero, a former cover singer, and guitarist Seiya from DEVILOOF as the founding members. Initially, drummer Hiroto, also from DEVILOOF, joined the band. However, Hiroto departed from THE DESPERADO on September 27, 2020, leaving the band as a duo. THE DESPERADO introduced themselves to the music scene with their debut single, "Gerbera," released on December 29, 2019. They released their second single, "ANOTHER UNIVERSE," on July 12, 2020. Despite the change in lineup, THE DESPERADO remained determined to deliver their dynamic music to their fans. They released their third single, "TRIGGER," on November 29, 2020, and followed it with their fourth single, "BLACK CHAPTER," on July 18, 2021. The band further solidified their presence in the visual kei scene with the release of their fifth single, "INNOCENT WORLD," on June 26, 2022, and their sixth single, "ROTTEN ROSE," on July 31, 2022. Bassist Akuru from DADAROMA and drummer Daisuke from DEVILOOF joined THE DESPERADO on December 28, 2022. Akuru had known Nero since he used to make covers of DIR EN GREY songs, and he also knew Seiya from his time in DEVILOOF. They had known each other for over five year
