The Sunset Collective is a group of various ambient musicians and artists who come together to create "unconventional music." The head of the group is Billy Hill, an ambient artist and producer who works with several other unnamed musicians to produce albums. Hill formed the group in October of 2021 and helped to produce some tracks on an extras album by '22poptartz' and 'FadingSunset', a duo of a musician and photographer who produced a couple of projects before joining the collective to work with Hill and the optimists. Although 22poptartz only occasionally assists with album work, FadingSunset's photography is commonly seen in album art, in conjunction with another independent artist, Zachary Eledin. Zachary Eledin is a photographer and pianist who specializes in synths and creating odd and dreamy atmospheres, a sound and style which fit well with Hill's music and Sunset's photography. Hill approached Eledin shortly before the release of 'Inserenity and infernos,' initially only to compose a finale track to the Barriers trilogy. This track was received well by the collective, and he was accepted as an official member rather than what would have been a quest appearance. Eledin helped Hill on the collective's next two releases, 'Exercise in ambience' and 'Where the wind blows through you,'. As 2023 arrived though, the work became a lot more behind-the-scenes, especially into the summer. In September of 2023, the next official album was released by the collective, however t
